married : bridget + peter

We are so excited for these two because they are FINALLY hitched.  Bridget and Peter have been in love for forever.  All the way back to high school, forever…  So, of course we were beyond thrilled when they asked us to capture their day.  It was fun to see that even though Bridget and Peter have known each other for ages, they still give each other butterflies.  Everyone was on edge and a bit anxious, but it seemed like as soon as these two laid eyes on each they were “home”.  You could see months of planning melt away.  You could see genuine happiness.

Congratulations to you both! We are so happy for you and wish you a life filled to the brim with happiness.

XoXoXo

How stinkin’ cute are these four?  Its really hard to contain yourself when you meet their two little ones because they are to die for.  But, I’d really love to thank them for being such amazing troopers.  I mean, they spent their Sunday evening standing outside dying of heat with me

Which is great and all, but I get they’ve got better things to do than bat away mosquitos and sweat while standing still.

So muchos gracias to them and their adorable offspring.

Enjoy!

session | anna

Several weekends ago, we were offered an opportunity by Anna’s family to visit their gorgeous property and photograph their eldest Daughter, Anna practicing her mad riding skills.

Outside of hopping fences and dodging a rowdy foal, we managed to snap a few of Anna in her element.

A little thanks to their family who supplied us with chilled lemonade and a delightful homemade meal, something that is a rarity for these two gals.

So meet our new friends Titus, Dusty, Panda, Walter, Greta and Anna.

Photography Wedding Workshop with Emily Steffen

Last weekend we spent 2 full days at a wedding photography workshop by THE one and only, Emily Steffen! (I know lucky, right?!) And, my oh my, did we learn a lot.
After some quality morning latte time we spent the first day learning all about the business side of wedding photography.
Day number two consisted of a full shoot complete with models, florists, makeup/hair artists and an event planner. And then the picture taking began. It was a blast and we learned loads of information. But if you want an image of what it looked like, think of a pack of vultures circling a fresh kill. Or, about 20 eager new photographers with a beautiful model in a wedding dress. No one was injured however, there was quite a bit of bumping into each other.
This last weekend made us even more eager to shoot the weddings we have scheduled for this year. What an exciting time. Let the fun begin!
